If a lesson time doesn't suit you, you can suggest another. Propose a time writes the message for you; you check it and send it.

1. Open Propose a time

In the conversation with your tutor, select the + button (1) beside the message box, then Propose a time (2).

The + button marked 1 and Propose a time marked 2

2. Choose a day and time

In Date (1), pick a day from the calendar. Days in the past can't be chosen. In Time (2), pick a start time.

Under Your message you'll see the words that will go in your message, for example "Hi Tara, could we do Wed 21 Oct at 16:30 instead?". Select Add to message (3), or Not now to close without changing anything.

Propose a time, with Date marked 1, Time marked 2 and Add to message marked 3

3. Check the message, then send it

The suggestion goes into the message box (1), after anything you'd already typed. It isn't sent yet. Change the words if you like, for example to add a second option, then select Send (2) or press Enter.

What happens next

Your tutor reads your suggestion and replies. If they agree, they can change the schedule of your reservation or send you a new one to accept.

Good to know

  • Proposing a time doesn't move a lesson or change a booking by itself. It's a message, like any other.

  • If you close the conversation before sending, the suggestion isn't sent.

  • To see when your tutor is free, look for an Availability card in your conversation.
