After each lesson, Tutorspot asks you for a short report: did the lesson take place, and how did it go? You're paid for a lesson once its report is done, so it's worth doing them straight after teaching.
1. Open your reports
Select Lesson reports in the menu. The badge shows how many are due. You'll also see them on Home (Complete reports) and at the top of Lessons.
The Pending list shows each lesson waiting for a report. Select Complete N reports (1) to go through them all in a row, or Complete (2) on one lesson.
2. Fill in the report
Each report shows the client, the date (which links to the lesson) and the subject.
Answer Did this lesson take place? (1) with Yes or No.
Add a Summary (2) of what you covered and how it went. It's optional, and your client sees it on the lesson.
Select Next (3) to save and move to the next report.
The bar at the bottom (4) shows how far through you are, for example Completing 1 of 3 reports.
You see Lesson report saved. and the next report opens. Select Back to return to the previous one.
3. If the lesson didn't take place
Choose No and, if you like, say what happened in the summary. Then select Next.
You're asked The lesson did not take place? Your client and Tutorspot will be told, and the lesson's payment is reviewed on that basis. Select Confirm it did not take place (1), or Go back to change your answer.
4. Finish
On the last report the button says Finish (1), and the bar shows the last report (2).
You see All lesson reports completed. and go back to Lesson reports. Your reports are now under Completed, with your answer to Lesson took place?.
Write a report from the lesson page
You can also write a report on the lesson itself. Open the lesson and select Complete report. The Report card opens with the same questions. Select Save report (1).
The lesson panel in the calendar has the same form for lessons that need a report.
If the lesson took place in the last week and you share a workspace with the client, the confirmation asks Set homework for this lesson? Select Set homework (1) to set it straight away.
Good to know
If you select Next without answering, you see Please say whether this lesson took place.
After a classroom lesson, Write the lesson report takes you straight to its report.
You can change a report later. See Edit a submitted report.
