Your online lessons happen either in the Tutorspot Online Classroom (video, audio, chat and session recording, built in) or on Your own video link, such as Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. You set a default for every lesson, and you can change it for one lesson or the rest of a booking.

1. Set your default

Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Lesson preferences. Under How do you meet your clients?, choose Tutorspot Online Classroom (1) or Your own video link (2).

If you choose your own link, paste your usual meeting link into Video calling link (3). It's used for every lesson unless a lesson has its own. Select Save.

2. Check a lesson's meeting details

Open a lesson from Lessons. The How you'll meet card shows the video link and password your client will use, with copy buttons. A note under it says whether the lesson uses your default or its own choice. To change it, select Change (1).

3. Change it for this lesson or the rest of the booking

On How you'll meet:

  1. Under How will you meet? (1), choose the classroom or your own video link. Your default is marked Your default.

  2. For your own link, enter the Video calling link (2). It must be a full link starting with https://.

  3. Add a Video conference password (3) if your meeting needs one. It's optional.

  4. Under Use this for (4), choose This lesson only, or this lesson and the later lessons in the same booking.

Select Save. You see Saved for this lesson. (or Saved for this lesson and the rest of the booking.) and go back to the lesson, which shows the new details (1).

When a lesson uses the classroom

The card says Tutorspot Online Classroom and that you join from the top of the lesson page. If the lesson differs from your default, the note says so.

Good to know

  • The hint under Video calling link tells you what happens if you leave it empty: the lesson either uses your default link or has no link.

  • Lessons without a video link are counted at the top of Lessons (N lessons without a video link). Select Add to fix the first one.

  • If nothing has changed, Save tells you No changes to save.

  • Once a lesson is over or cancelled, you can't change how you'll meet.
