Each workspace keeps the files you and your student share. When you stop teaching a subject, archive its workspace to keep your list tidy. Nothing in it is deleted.
1. Share and find files
Open the workspace. Select Share file (1) to share files straight away, or drag files anywhere onto the page. The Files card lists the latest files: search by name (2), or filter (3) by All, Mine, the student's name, or Homework.
Select the student's name to see only what they shared, such as hand-ins and photos of their notes.
Files you can share: photos (JPG, PNG, GIF), PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TXT, RTF, MP3, MP4, WAV and MOV. Anything else is turned away with a message, and nothing is uploaded.
2. See every file
Select See all files for the full list, with type, who shared each file and when. Files set with homework or handed in are tagged Homework. You can delete your own files with the bin. Files your student shared show "Only" and their name "can delete" (1).
3. Archive a workspace
Open the workspace, select ⋯ at the top, then Archive (1).
You're asked to confirm. The workspace moves out of the active list for both you and your student. Nothing is deleted. If the workspace has open homework, the message says so: archiving doesn't close it. Select Archive, or Not now to stop.
You'll see "Workspace archived." and an Archived label at the top of the workspace.
4. Find archived workspaces
In Workspaces, select Archived (1). Archived workspaces show an Archived badge.
5. Unarchive a workspace
Open the archived workspace, select ⋯, then Unarchive. Confirm with Unarchive. It shows in your active workspaces again for both of you, and you'll see "Workspace unarchived."
Good to know
Only you can archive or unarchive a workspace. Your student sees it move to their Archived list.
An archived workspace still opens, with its timeline, homework and files.
