Sometimes a payout can't reach your bank, for example because the account has been closed. You'll see it on Home and in Payouts, with the reason from Stripe, our payment provider.

1. Spot it on Home

On Home, Needs your attention shows Your payout of £… failed, with the reason, for example The bank account has been closed. Select Update bank details (1).

2. Or find it in Payouts

In Payments > Payouts, the failed payout has a Failed status, the reason, and Fix bank details (1).

Select Details on that row to see which lessons it covered. The page starts with This payout failed (1), the reason and a link to your bank details.

3. Update your bank details

Update bank details, Fix bank details and the bank details link all take you to Payments > Payout account. There, select Update bank details next to your bank account. You continue on Stripe's own website, where you can add or change the account. When you finish, you're brought back to Tutorspot.

What happens next

Once your bank details are updated, Stripe can pay you again. If the reason isn't clear, or nothing changes after you've updated your details, contact us.
