Each workspace keeps the files you and your student share. When you stop teaching a subject, you can archive its workspace. Nothing in it is deleted.

1. Share and find files

Open the workspace. Select Share file (1), or drag files anywhere onto the page. In the Files card, search by name (2), or filter (3) by All, Mine, the student's name or Homework.

Select the student's name to see only what they shared.

You can share photos (JPG, PNG, GIF), PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TXT, RTF, MP3, MP4, WAV and MOV files. Other types aren't uploaded.

2. See every file

Select See all files for the full list. Files set with homework or handed in are tagged Homework. You can delete your own files with the bin. Only your student can delete the files they shared (1).

3. Archive a workspace

Open the workspace, select ⋯ at the top, then Archive (1).

The ⋯ menu open with Archive marked 1

Confirm with Archive. The workspace moves out of the active list for both you and your student. Archiving doesn't close open homework.

The Archive confirmation with Not now and Archive

You'll see "Workspace archived." and an Archived label at the top of the workspace.

Good to know

  • Only you can archive or unarchive a workspace.

  • An archived workspace still opens, with its timeline, homework and files.
