If you already have a Tutorspot account, your message goes as soon as you select Send message. You only need to sign in once.

1. Sign in as you send

Write your message on the tutor's profile and select Send message (see Message a tutor and create your account). If you're not signed in, you're asked "Where should Jordan reply?". Select I have an account (1).

Enter your Email and Password, then select Send message to Jordan. You're signed in and your message sends.

If the email or password is wrong, you'll see "Your email and/or password are incorrect. Please try again." Check them and try again.

Your email and/or password are incorrect. Please try again.

If you've forgotten your password, select Forgot your password? (2) under the password box. The reset page opens in a new tab, with the email you typed already filled in, so your message stays where it is. Once you've set a new password (see Reset your password), come back to this tab and sign in.

2. Send straight away when you're signed in

When you're signed in, the top menu shows My account (1) instead of Sign in. Fill in the message box and select Send message (2).

There's no account step: you'll see "Message sent to Avery" (with the tutor's name) straight away, with the next steps and Hear back sooner.

3. Message from your search results

Each tutor card in your search results has a Message button with the tutor's name (1). It opens the message box without leaving the results, already set to the subject and level you searched.

4. The message page

A link to message a tutor (for example in an email from us) opens a page of its own for the message, such as "Message Jordan M". It has the same message box, with the tutor's details on the right. Select Back to Jordan's profile (with the tutor's name) to read their profile first.

If your session has expired

If you were signed in a while ago, you may see "Your session has expired. Sign in to send your message." (1) when you select Send message. Your message is kept, and I have an account is already selected. Sign in and select Send message to Jordan to send it.

Good to know

  • Replies arrive in Messages in your Tutorspot account, and we email you when one comes in.

  • You can message as many tutors as you like. It's free.

  • If "We could not send your request. Please try again." keeps appearing, wait a while before you try again: there's a limit on how many messages one account can send in an hour. If it still doesn't work, contact our team.
