When your tutor sets homework, it appears in the workspace you share with them. You hand it in on the same page, as files, photos from your phone, a note, or all three.
1. Find the homework
Open the workspace. Homework lists open homework with its due date: "Due in 2 days", or "Overdue" in red once the due date has passed. Select Hand in (1) next to a piece of homework, or All homework (2) to see everything.
On the homework list, use Show (1) to see All, Open or Handed in homework.
2. Read the homework
The homework page shows your tutor's instructions, the due date (homework is due at 17:00 on the day), and any files your tutor attached. Select a file to open it. The steps at the top show where it's up to: Set, Handed in, Reviewed.
3. Add your work
Under Your hand-in, select Add files (1) and choose your files. On a computer you can also drag them into the dashed box. You can add a note for your tutor (2), for example to say which question you got stuck on. The button then says how many files you're handing in (3).
To take a file out before you hand in, select the cross on it.
If you select Hand in with nothing added, you'll see "Add a file or write a note to hand in".
4. Hand in
Select the hand-in button. You'll see "Homework handed in." The steps move to Handed in, and your tutor is told. Your files are also added to the workspace's files.
On a phone: take a photo of your work
On a phone, Your hand-in also has Take a photo (1). It opens your camera. Take a photo of each page; you can add more than one.
Each photo shows as a small preview (1). Check them, then select Hand in 1 photo (2), or however many you added.
5. See your tutor's feedback
When your tutor has looked at your work, the steps show Reviewed.
Their comments appear under Feedback on the homework page, with any files they attached. Until then it says "No feedback yet." The feedback also appears on the workspace timeline.
Good to know
If you leave the page after adding files or a note but before handing in, you're asked whether to leave, so you don't lose your work.
You can hand in after the due date. The homework shows as overdue until you do.
Photos and files must be one of the accepted types (photos, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TXT, RTF, audio or video). See Share files in a workspace.
