Families search by location and by how lessons happen. Keep these settings up to date so the right clients find you.
1. Open Location
Go to Your profile > Profile and select the Location tab. Under Where do you teach? (1), tick any of:
At my home: students come to you.
I will travel to students: you go to them.
Online: lessons by video.
If you travel, choose How far will you travel? (2). For lessons at your home or theirs, enter Your address (3), including the postcode. Students see your area, not your street. A map shows where you are and, if you travel, the distance you'll cover.
2. Choose your travel distance
Open How far will you travel? and pick 5 miles, 10 miles, 25 miles or 50 miles. The circle on the map changes to match.
3. Save
Make your changes, for example tick Online (1), then select Save (2).
You'll see Location preferences saved. If you've just added a new way of teaching, the message also says Now set rates for the way you've just added. Select Set your rates to add a price for it.
4. Set your availability
Select the Availability tab. Under When are you available? (1), tick Weekday Days, Weekday Evenings and Weekends as they suit you, then select Save (2).
You'll see Updated availability.
Good to know
You need an address if you tick At my home.
If you untick a way of teaching, its rates column is greyed out on the Rates tab.
Availability tells families roughly when you teach. You agree exact days and times with each client when you send a lesson reservation.
Save before you open another tab. Changes you haven't saved are lost.
