Sometimes a client needs one more lesson than usual, such as a catch-up or a session before an exam. You can add a single lesson to an existing reservation without changing its regular schedule. The lesson uses the reservation's subject, level and rate.

You can add a single lesson to an Active reservation only.

1. Open the reservation

Go to Reservations and open the reservation. Select Schedule single lesson (1). It's also in the ⋯ menu on the reservation's row in the list.

2. Choose the date, time and length

The Schedule a single lesson panel opens. It starts on the next date of the regular schedule.

The Schedule a single lesson panel
  • Pick a date in the calendar (1). Past days can't be chosen.

  • Choose a Time. It starts at the reservation's usual time for that day.

  • Choose a Duration, or select Schedule a longer lesson to type a length.

Then select Schedule lesson (2).

3. If the time clashes

If the lesson would overlap one already in your diary, you see This time clashes with a lesson in your diary (1), with a link to the lesson it clashes with. Pick another time or day, then select Schedule lesson again.

4. Wait for your client to accept

You see Lesson provisionally scheduled. The new lesson appears under Upcoming as Pending.

Your client is notified and must accept the lesson before it's confirmed. You'll get an email when they accept.

Good to know

  • In the reservations list, a single lesson your client hasn't accepted yet shows Not yet accepted under the next lesson.

  • To add a lesson every week, change the reservation's schedule instead.
