Cancel a reservation when you want to stop having lessons with a tutor altogether. To miss one lesson, see Can't make a lesson? instead.
1. Open Cancel reservation
Open the reservation from Reservations, select ⋯ at the top, then Cancel reservation (1). You can also use ⋯ on the reservation's row in the list.
2. Read what cancelling means
The page starts with "Cancelling ends your lessons with …" and explains what happens to your lessons (1).
Tutors plan their week around bookings, so lessons in the next two weeks still happen and are charged. The page names your last lesson and how many later lessons will be cancelled, for example "your last lesson will be Tue 20 Oct 2026. 2 later lessons will be cancelled."
Below it you see the tutor, subject and schedule, so you can check it's the right reservation.
3. Add a reason (optional)
Type a reason in Reason (2). Your tutor will see it.
4. Confirm
Select Cancel reservation (3). We ask you to confirm, and repeat what will happen. This can't be undone.
Select Yes, cancel reservation. To change your mind, select Keep reservation.
What happens next
You see "Your reservation with … has been cancelled." The reservation page now shows Cancelled, when you cancelled it and your reason. Your tutor sees the cancellation and your reason.
Lessons in the next two weeks stay in Lessons and are charged after they take place, as usual. Later lessons are cancelled: in the reservation's schedule and in Lessons they show Cancelled and Not charged.
Good to know
Keep reservation on the cancel page takes you back without cancelling.
If you want to skip a single lesson in the next two weeks, use Can't make it? on that lesson. See Can't make a lesson?
You can also turn down a reservation that's waiting for you the same way, from ⋯ then Cancel reservation on its row.
To have lessons with the same tutor again later, ask them to send you a new reservation.
