Qualifications show families what you've studied. You need at least one before our team can review your profile.

1. Open Qualifications

Go to Your profile > Profile and select the Qualifications tab. Each qualification has its own card. A certificate you've uploaded shows as a link (1). Use Add qualification (2) for a new one and Save all (3) to save every change on the page together.

If you haven't added any yet, you'll see No qualifications yet. Select Add qualification to start.

2. Add a qualification

Select Add qualification. A new card appears. Fill in:

  • Level: choose from the list, for example A Level or Undergraduate degree.

  • Subject: start typing and pick a suggestion, or type your own.

  • School: where you studied.

  • Grade: suggestions match the level you chose.

Tick Still studying? if you haven't finished yet. All four fields are required. If one is empty when you save, it's highlighted, for example School can't be blank.

3. Upload a certificate (optional)

In the card, select Upload certificate and choose the file. Files can be up to 25 MB, and they're stored securely, encrypted and only visible to Tutorspot. While it uploads, the button shows Uploading... with the percentage. When it's done, the file name appears as a link. Select the X next to it to remove the certificate.

If the upload fails, you'll see That file is too large. The maximum size is 25 MB., That file is empty. or Unable to upload the file. Please try again.

4. Remove a qualification

Select Remove on the card. The card is crossed out with Removed, saved when you Save all. Changed your mind? Select Undo (1).

5. Save all

Select Save all. Your additions, edits and removals are saved together and you'll see Qualifications saved.

If some qualifications don't save

Sometimes one qualification is saved and another isn't, for example when a grade isn't recognised. You'll see 1 saved, but 1 couldn't be saved. Check the highlighted qualifications and try again. The card that needs fixing stays on screen with the problem highlighted, such as Is not a recognised grade. Correct it and select Save all again.

Good to know

  • If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, You have unsaved changes asks whether to stay. Select Stay on this page and then Save all to keep them.

  • Families see your qualifications on your public profile. Certificates stay private.
