If you've forgotten your password, you can set a new one from a link we email you.

1. Ask for a reset link

On the sign-in page, select Forgot your password? (1).

Type the email address you use for Tutorspot in Email (1) and select Send reset link (2).

On tutorspot.co.uk, when you sign in to message a tutor or ask for matches, Forgot your password? under the password box opens the same page in a new tab, with your email already filled in.

2. Check your email

You'll see Check your email. If there's an account for that address, we've emailed it a reset link. The page looks the same whether or not an account exists.

If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, or select Send again (1).

3. Choose a new password

Select the link in the email. Set a new password shows the email address the password is for.

Type a new password of at least 8 characters in New password (1), type it again in Confirm new password (2), then select Save new password (3).

If the link doesn't work

Each reset link works once, and only for a short while. If you see any of these messages, select Request a new link (1):

  • This link has already been used: you, or someone with access to your email, already used it.

This link has already been used, with Request a new link marked 1
  • This link is invalid or has expired: the link is too old, or only part of it was copied. Check you copied the whole link from the email first.

  • This link has expired: you waited too long.

Good to know

  • If you're signed in and know your password, you can change it in Settings instead. See Update your details and password.

  • If you see This reset link has expired or the password wasn't accepted after saving, request a new link and try again.
