Your tutor can add a single extra lesson to a reservation you've already accepted, for example a catch-up before an exam. The extra lesson isn't booked until you accept it.
1. Find the lesson
On Home, under Needs your attention, you see "… added an extra lesson" with the subject and time. Select Review & accept. See Your Home page.
You also find it in Lessons, where it's marked To accept (1). Select Accept (2) on its row.
It also appears in your conversation with the tutor in Messages, with an Accept button. If you open the lesson itself, select Accept lesson (1) at the top.
2. Check the lesson
The page tells you which plan the lesson belongs to and which card it will be charged to after it takes place (1), for example "Tara added an extra lesson to your Maths (GCSE) plan. It will be charged to your Visa ending 4242 after it takes place." Select View the plan (2) to see the whole reservation.
Below that are the Tutor, When, Subject, Level, Hourly rate and Price.
3. Accept
Select Accept lesson (3). Nothing is charged now: the lesson is charged after it takes place, like your other lessons.
To decide later, select Not now.
What happens next
You see "Lesson accepted." and you go back to the page you came from, for example Home, Lessons or the lesson page. The lesson now shows Confirmed and appears with your other lessons.
Good to know
If you don't have a payment method that can be charged (for example your card has expired), selecting Accept lesson opens a form headed "Add a payment method to accept". Enter your card and select Save & accept: the card is saved and the lesson accepted in one go. Back closes the form.
If you open the link again after accepting, the page says "This lesson has already been accepted." with Back to lesson.
The same cancellation rule applies as for your other lessons: free up to 48 hours before, after that your tutor has to agree.
