Lessons lists every lesson you have with every tutor, grouped by day. Use it to check what's coming up, look back at past lessons and see what each one cost.

1. Open Lessons

Select Lessons in the menu. The list starts with your upcoming lessons, soonest first. Each row shows the time, tutor, subject, level, status, payment and amount. Select a row to open that lesson.

Lessons, with the Occurring filter marked 1 and the Status filter marked 2

2. Switch between upcoming and past lessons

Select Occurring (1) and choose Upcoming or Past. Past lessons are listed newest first, and include every lesson that has taken place.

3. Filter by status

Select Status (2) and choose what to show:

The Status filter open: Not cancelled, To accept, Confirmed, Cancellation requested, Completed, Cancelled and All
  • Not cancelled (the default): every lesson except cancelled ones.

  • To accept: extra lessons your tutor has added that are waiting for you.

  • Confirmed: booked lessons that haven't happened yet.

  • Cancellation requested: lessons waiting on a cancellation decision.

  • Completed: lessons that have taken place.

  • Cancelled.

  • All, including cancelled lessons.

A filter you've changed shows a × to clear it, and Reset puts both back to the defaults.

A lesson's Status reads Confirmed when it's booked, To accept when your tutor has added it and it's waiting for you (select Accept on the row), Cancellation requested, Cancelled, or Completed once it has taken place.

4. Check the payment for each lesson

The Payment column shows where each lesson's charge stands:

Payment

What it means

Not yet charged

The lesson hasn't happened yet.

Unpaid

The lesson has happened and hasn't been charged yet.

Paid

The charge went through. Select the receipt icon to open your receipt.

Payment failed

We couldn't charge your card.

Payment needed

Your bank needs you to confirm the payment, or it needs paying another way.

Refunded

The charge was refunded to you.

Not charged

The lesson was cancelled and you weren't charged for it.

Past lessons: the payment error icon marked 1, the receipt icon marked 2, and Update payment method marked 3
  1. For a failed payment, point at (or tap) the i icon to see why, for example "Your card has insufficient funds."

  2. For a paid lesson, select the receipt icon to open the receipt in a new tab.

  3. If a payment hasn't gone through, a red line at the top of the page says so. Select Update payment method to fix it on Billing.

The reason for a failed payment shown beside Payment failed

To pay for a lesson marked Payment needed, select Pay now (1) under it. See Fix a payment that didn't go through.

Past lessons marked Payment needed, with Pay now marked 1

Good to know

  • If you have no lessons yet, the page says "No lessons yet". Your lessons appear here once you accept a tutor's reservation.

The empty Lessons page: No lessons yet
  • If your filters match nothing, the page names them, for example "No past cancellation requests". Select Reset filters (or Reset (1) beside the filters) to see everything again.

No past cancellation requests, with Reset marked 1
  • Each row's ⋯ menu has Tutor profile and Can't make it?. See Can't make a lesson?

  • Long lists are split into pages. Use Next and Previous at the bottom.
