Home is the first page you see when you sign in. It shows what needs you now, your next lesson and the lessons after it, and your tutors. You can always get back to it from Home in the menu.
1. Read the greeting
At the top you see a greeting with your first name (1). The line under it sums up your day, for example "1 lesson today · 2 reservations to review". Find a tutor opens the tutor search.
The page has three cards: Needs your attention (2), Next up (3) and Your tutors (4). Coming up is further down.
2. Deal with what needs your attention
Needs your attention lists things only you can do, each with one button. The number beside the title says how many there are. If there are more than four, select Show … more to see them all.
The rows you may see are:
… asked to cancel a lesson: your tutor wants to cancel. Select Review. See Your tutor asked to cancel a lesson.
… sent you a lesson reservation: select Review & accept. See Accept a lesson reservation.
… added an extra lesson: your tutor added a single lesson to a plan you already have. Select Review & accept. See Accept an extra lesson.
Homework that is due or overdue also appears here, with Hand in.
If a lesson couldn't be charged, you see Your … lesson needs paying, with the reason, for example "Your card was declined." Select Pay now (1). See Fix a payment that didn't go through.
If there is a problem with your saved card, for example "Your bank changed your card. Save it again so your lessons can be charged.", select Update payment method (1).
When there is nothing to do, the card says You're all caught up.
3. Join your next lesson
Next up shows your next lesson: the day and time, the tutor and subject, and how long until it starts, for example "Starts in 30 min".
When your tutor has added a video link, the card says "Video link ready" and shows Join lesson (1). See Join a lesson. Select Details (2) to open the lesson.
4. See what's coming up
Coming up lists the lessons after your next one, grouped by day. Select a lesson to open it. A label such as Cancellation requested (1) shows when a lesson is waiting on a cancellation decision. Select All lessons (2) to open your full list.
5. Contact your tutors
Your tutors lists the tutors you have lessons with. Select a name to open the tutor's page, or the speech-bubble icon (1) to message them. See all (2) opens Your tutors, and Find another tutor opens the tutor search.
Good to know
Before you have any lessons, Next up says "An at-a-glance view of upcoming lessons." with a Find a tutor button.
Home updates each time you open it. Accepting a reservation or an extra lesson, or paying for a lesson, removes its row.
