Your tutor can add a single extra lesson to a reservation you've already accepted, for example a catch-up before an exam. It isn't booked until you accept it.

1. Find the lesson

On Home, under Needs your attention, find "… added an extra lesson" and select Review & accept. See Your Home page.

In Lessons, it's marked To accept (1). Select Accept (2) on its row.

It also appears in your conversation with the tutor in Messages, with an Accept button. On the lesson page, select Accept lesson (1) at the top.

2. Check the lesson

The page says which plan the lesson belongs to and which card it will be charged to after it takes place (1). Select View the plan (2) to see the whole reservation.

The accept page, with the explanation marked 1, View the plan marked 2 and Accept lesson marked 3

3. Accept

Select Accept lesson (3). Nothing is charged now: the lesson is charged after it takes place, like your other lessons.

To decide later, select Not now.

What happens next

You'll see "Lesson accepted." and go back to the page you came from. The lesson shows Confirmed and appears with your other lessons.

Good to know

  • If you don't have a payment method that can be charged (for example your card has expired), Accept lesson opens "Add a payment method to accept". Enter your card and select Save & accept to save the card and accept the lesson together.

  • If you open the link again after accepting, you'll see "This lesson has already been accepted."

  • The usual cancellation rule applies: free up to 48 hours before, after that your tutor has to agree.
